Yangcheoljibung in Sinsa Garosu-gil – The Ultimate Spot for Garlic Gizzards and Cheese Seafood Tteokbokki

Located in a quiet alley of Sinsa’s Garosu-gil, Yangcheoljibung Main Branch is not about sleek interiors or modern vibes. Instead, it’s all about the nostalgic charm of an old-school pub and hearty dishes that keep people coming back for years.

πŸ“ Info & Location

  • Address: 4, Dosan-daero 17-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

  • Hours: 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM (Last order at 1:00 AM)

  • Closed: Every Sunday (some branches close on the 2nd & 4th Sunday)

  • Phone: +82-2-544-2833

  • About 5–10 minutes on foot from Sinsa Station Exit 8

The walls are covered with doodles and celebrity autographs, creating a retro, bustling vibe that feels both lively and familiar. It’s the kind of place where you can truly soak in the pojangmacha (street pub) atmosphere.

🍠 Complimentary Snack – Sweet Potato Twist

One of the quirkiest yet most loved aspects of Yangcheoljibung is the raw sweet potato served as a complimentary snack.
Crunchy and sweet on its own, it becomes even more flavorful when grilled on the hot plate. Dip it in the sauces provided, and it turns into a surprisingly addictive snack.

🍴 Must-Try Dishes

  1. Cheese Seafood Tteokbokki (around 24,000 KRW)
Served sizzling on a large hot plate, this dish is loaded with chewy rice cakes, generous seafood (shrimp, squid, clams), and topped with stretchy melted cheese.
The combination of sweet-and-spicy sauce with gooey cheese makes it not only visually stunning but also perfect as a hearty drinking dish.
The portion is quite large, making it ideal for 3–4 people to share.

  2. Garlic Fried Chicken Gizzards (around 21,000 KRW)
The house specialty and the most popular menu item.
Crispy gizzards are served with whole garlic cloves, creating a 1:1 balance of flavors. Dip them in sesame oil sauce, and you’ll get a nutty, savory bite that pairs perfectly with drinks.
The garlic, surprisingly, is sweet and tender rather than pungent, making it enjoyable even for those who usually avoid it.
Pro tip: eat it while it’s hot—the flavors are best when freshly served.

πŸ’Έ Price Range

  • Soju: 6,000 KRW / Beer: 7,000 KRW / Cheongha: 8,000 KRW / Zero Cola: 3,000 KRW

  • Most side dishes are in the low 20,000 KRW range, with generous portions suitable for groups of 3–4.

  • Drinks are a bit pricier than average, but the food quality and atmosphere make it worth it.

✅ Overall

Yangcheoljibung is not about quiet, fancy dining. It’s about sharing hearty dishes in a lively, nostalgic pub atmosphere.

The Garlic Fried Gizzards and Cheese Seafood Tteokbokki are must-orders for first-timers, and the experience is best enjoyed with three or more people so you can sample multiple dishes.

Would I revisit? Absolutely.
If you want an authentic Sinsa Garosu-gil drinking experience with unforgettable side dishes, Yangcheoljibung is the place to go.

Honest Review of Negi Dining Lounge in Garosugil, Sinsa

I recently visited Negi Dining Lounge for a dinner outing in Gangnam. It’s conveniently located near Sinsa Station, Exit 8 , making it easy to access. The restaurant is on the 4th floor of a building, and there’s an elevator available , so no worries about climbing stairs! For those driving, valet parking is available. We had a 6 PM bar seat reservation, which allowed us to watch the chefs prepare dishes up close. While this was interesting, the atmosphere at the bar was quite busy and lively. If you're looking for a quiet, intimate setting, I’d recommend choosing a table seat instead. 🍽️ Menu & Taste Review ⭐ 1. Truffle + JamΓ³n + Ajitsuke Tamago (24,000 KRW) The first dish was already a big hit! A perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg (Ajitsuke Tamago) topped with JamΓ³n and fresh truffle —as soon as I took a bite, the rich aroma of truffle filled my mouth. It was a fantastic appetizer, but I wished there was more because it was so delicious! A must-try menu item at Negi. ⭐ ...
